Creating a Read-only Account for Configuration Manager

Grant a user account read-only access to the ConfigMgr database. This account should be dedicated to the purpose of accessing SQL for BI. This can be an active directory user or a SQL user account.

When using a SQL account ensure that SQL Server authentication is enabled

In this example we have created a service account in active directory. The user password is set to never expire and user cannot change the password.
